Take A Break food education for children in a bright learning space

Finally — a habit.

A healthy relationship with food grows with every break.

More than a canteen.

An everyday space where taste, courage to try and good habits can grow.

Food is an experience for a child. We create catering that feels welcoming to children and clear, dependable and well organised to parents and school teams.

Gian Luca Demarco · chef

“Children do not need to be convinced to eat. They need to be invited to discover food.”

The vitality of Mediterranean cooking, respect for ingredients and the courage to taste help us build a food culture — not just another canteen.

From the first conversation to a better daily rhythm.

  4. 04

    We keep improving

We observe, listen to feedback and continuously improve the everyday experience.

    Everyday life

We grow where children grow.

We are proud to shape everyday food experiences for curious learning communities.

Important questions deserve clear answers.

We explain the essentials clearly, so schools and parents never have to search between the lines.

01 / Allergens

Know what is on the plate

We share ingredients and allergen information clearly and through the agreed channel. Special dietary needs are assessed individually according to the information provided, the school’s arrangements and the kitchen’s capabilities.

02 / Menus

Menus where parents expect them

Weekly menus and important changes are shared in the way agreed with the school — in its system, newsletter or another familiar community channel.

03 / Locations

Vilnius and Kaunas — and open to a conversation beyond

Today we work in Vilnius and Kaunas, and we are happy to talk with schools in other locations. During the first conversation, we assess distance, scale, kitchen infrastructure, number of children and the proposed start date so that every promise is realistic.

04 / Getting started

A good start begins with preparation

After assessing your needs and location, we provide a clear action plan. The start date depends on the chosen model, preparation work and a schedule agreed by both teams.

Voices that show the way

This is how we want people to talk about lunch. That is why we listen, learn and improve every day.

Parents care.
So do we.

A few clear answers about how we approach food and partnership.

01How is Take A Break different from a conventional canteen?

We see catering as part of everyday education. The food matters, but so do the atmosphere, curiosity to taste and feedback from the community.

02Who do you provide catering for?

Today we work with schools and kindergartens in Vilnius and Kaunas. If your school is elsewhere, we still invite you to get in touch — every opportunity is considered individually.

03How does a partnership begin?

We first get to know the school’s rhythm and its community’s needs. Then we agree the catering model, processes and communication together.

04Where can parents direct their questions?

Email us at klientai@reikiapertraukos.lt or call us — we will make sure your question reaches the right person.

05How do you provide allergen and special-diet information?

Ingredients and allergens are shared through the channel agreed with the school. Special dietary needs are considered individually according to the information provided, the agreed process and each kitchen’s capabilities.

06Where can we find the menu and any changes?

At the start of our partnership, we agree one clear place where parents can find the weekly menu and important updates — this may be the school’s system, newsletter or another familiar community channel.

07How quickly can a partnership begin?

We confirm the timeline after assessing the number of children, catering model, kitchen infrastructure and preparation work. This lets us offer a realistic timeline and ensure a smooth start.
